The Experience

All of us Saskatoon Photographers have a method to our madness. It’s something you want to know to find out if you jive with a potential photographer. Maybe a photographer you’re looking in to decides that the best way to get fun, laughing and unposed images out of you is to make you sit on a banana cream pie. That isn’t really something you’re interested in, I’d wager. After all, how many good images could you take after that if you’re so concerned about the cream pie on your bottom? Or maybe a certain photographer prefers to act like a stalker and just follow you around and take photos when you don’t even realize they are doing that, but you paid them to do it so you know something is happening, but you just didn’t know when and you were unaware that they were taking your photo as you made the worst face after burning your tongue on your hot chocolate. That doesn’t sound like a fun experience, either. You want a photographer who is going to work with you. Sure, they’ll have some of their own ideas about what to do…they are the artist after all and they have their own shooting style and photo style (but you like that because you picked them, right?)…but you also want to feel like you’re part of the planning committee. Knowing that you’re going to be heard and you’re going to get exactly what you want is important to you. Knowing how your photographer will work with you is an important factor to determining how smooth your experience is with that photographer. So let me guide you through what it looks like to work with me during a Boudoir Experience and a Grad session experience. No cream pies here. I’d love to eat one, but I certainly won’t make you sit on one.
