You’re bombarded on the daily with images, messages, and sales pitches that tell you your skin is too dry, your tummy and bum are a bit flabby, and you are getting old. Eventually, you also start hearing those messages from yourself.
It doesn’t help that maybe you don’t get many compliments from your longtime partner, either. You love them to death but you’ve been together so long it’s been forgotten that hearing how gorgeous you are to them is still important.
With all the negativity around you, it’s little wonder you are struggling to feel that you’re sexy and attractive!
I hear you and I feel it, too. But it’s in your power to change the story with your own boudoir experience.
You’re at the point where you are seriously considering doing it but you have some concerns. And they’re valid ones, I’d wager.
You’re concerned that the session might be uncomfortable, weird, or that you will be forced to do poses or expose more than you were prepared for.
Let me make something very clear…
When you choose Roses & Scars Photography for your boudoir session, the aim is to ensure you’re comfortable because that’s how you get beautiful images.
The very first thing that will happen is we will set a coffee date (or a wine date if that’s what you prefer) so we can meet in person. This is our comfort check. If you decide you don’t want to work with me, then we go no further.
If you decide you’re cool with me then we will discuss what your expectations are – how far you’re comfortable going in terms of nudity, what types of photos you hope to
come out with (this is where a Pinterest board will come in handy; but don’t worry, if you don’t have any ideas, I have plenty!), what do you love or hate about your body.
This in person meeting is essential for your comfort and for me to know your boundaries and expectations. You will also receive a Prep Guide with suggestions on what you can do to prepare and wardrobe tips (don’t worry, I can help you put together your wardrobe if you need).
When you arrive for your session, you’ll probably be nervous! After all, you’re stripping down to almost nothing! But you’ll be excited, too! All that energy might make you feel like running for the hills, but don’t!
There will be snacks, water, and music you like playing! You could even bring a little bit of booze if you need it to relax.
We will spread your wardrobe out (as much as possible anyway, some ladies bring their entire closet!) and I’ll pick your first outfit for the session.
Now you don’t need to have any previous experience before stepping in front of my camera. I will demonstrate the poses I want you in before I make you get in them and then I will adjust you and direct you as needed to get a fantastic image. You don’t need to worry. At all! But feel free to say ‘No’ if I’m asking you to do something you’re not comfortable doing! My goal is to ensure you’re comfortable, relaxed, and having fun!
It helps that I’m a serious goof. Serious. And a goof!
I’ll bet you and I will have a most excellent time together during your session and that you’ll leave feeling empowered, confident, and a little sore from the posing (sorry about that).
Together we will create a place for you to transform and find empowerment, confidence, and most importantly, find that bodacious, badass, sexy beast you have hidden deep within you!
